二○一四年十月十五日,习近平总书记主持召开了文艺工作座谈会并发表重要讲话。中国书协主席张海作为艺术家代表之一,出席座谈会并聆听了习总书记长达两个小时的重要讲话。会后,他结合实际谈了自己的体会,并撰文《当代书法家的光荣历史使命与责任担当》刊发于《中国书法》二○一四年第十一期,引起较大反响和关注。今年六月,张海主席在领会和吸收讲话精神的基础上,结合当下书坛的问题和现象,对该文进行了拓展和延伸,从传统经典在当下的价值、学习优秀传统的方式贵在借鉴、要大力提倡艺术创新等几个方面,对传统的重要作用、优秀传统对艺术的发展促进、如何学习优秀传统、如何让艺术植根于人民大众中之中、促进不同书法流派健康发展以及如何改革现有评选机制和评价体系、培养创新型人才等方面,从实际出发,着手当下,放眼未来,高屋建瓴地展开了深入而详细的论述。(编者)
On October 15, 2014, General Secretary Xi Jinping chaired a forum on literary and art work and delivered an important speech. As one of the artists’ representatives, Zhang Hai, chairman of China Association of Calligraphers, attended the symposium and listened to the important speech of General Secretary Xi for up to two hours.
