过去认为下丘脑中促甲状腺激素(TSH)是由垂体促甲状腺素细胞产生的。但也有人认为下丘脑组织可以自发地合成和释放免疫活性促甲状腺激素(IRTSH)。近年来免疫组化研究表明:垂体结节部细胞分泌IR—TSH,并把它们运送到下丘脑正中隆起。 为了说明下丘脑中IR-TSH的起源问题,作者统计了下丘脑组织体外培养下IR-TSH的释放量,观察了Sparague-Dawley雌性大鼠下丘脑中IR-TSH的分布和切除垂体、切除甲状腺对大鼠下丘脑IR-TSH的影响。
In the past, hypothalamic thyrotropin (TSH) was thought to be produced by pituitary thyroid stimulating hormone.
