广东省地震局在中国地震局和广东省人民政府的领导下,依照《中华人民共和国防震减灾法》等有关法律、法规,承担着广东省行政区域范围内防震减灾工作的政府行政管理职能和各市、县防震减灾的指导工作,初步建立了地震监测预报、地震灾害预防和地震紧急救援三大工作体系,对广东省经济建设和社会发展起到了重要作用。
Under the leadership of the China Seismological Bureau and the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, the Seismological Bureau of Guangdong Province undertakes the functions of government administration and prevention of earthquakes and mitigation within the administrative area of Guangdong Province in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations such as the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Mitigation” , County guidance for earthquake disaster reduction, the initial establishment of the earthquake monitoring and forecasting, earthquake disaster prevention and emergency rescue three major systems, the economic construction and social development in Guangdong Province has played an important role.
