(April 20, 1990) Dear Mr. Li Peiyao, Dear Mr. Chairman, Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, First of all, I am very grateful to Mr. Lord for inviting me to attend the inaugural meeting of CABI. On behalf of the Association of Technical Supervision in Rhein-Western-Styron Region, Isen, and on behalf of our President, Professor Kelly Trick, I extend my heartfelt greetings and good wishes to the Chinese friends and distinguished guests present here. Our first contact with the Chinese boiler pressure vessel inspection agency was in 1980. My first contact with the Chinese inspection agency was in 1982. In 1982, our Hannover Technical Supervision Association held two seminars on boiler pressure vessels in China in accordance with German standards.
