会泽县于1976年夏引入聚合草2株,在东关大队繁殖试种成功后,又相继引入朝鲜、日本、澳大利亚等系聚合草数十株。在海拔1800～3200米的东关、土城、娜姑、五星等猪场种植,大面积亩产九千多公斤,小区试验可高产达20419公斤/亩。用聚合草喂猪效果很好,在基础料及管理条件相同条件下,添加聚合草的试验组,育肥日增重比对照组提高21.8％至68.7％,产仔数提高43.5％。现在,聚合草已推广到六十余个社队猪
