The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1893, has worked with many famous composers, conductors and musicians. Our familiar names are Elgar, Sibelius, Horst, and Stravins Base, Vaughan Williams and others. Orchestra’s performances are available all over the world - Carnegie Hall, Royal Concert Hall Amsterdam, the Golden Hall in Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. The orchestra has recorded as many as 300 albums, and now many albums are released each year by Naxos. Recent recordings include works by Bernstein, Bartok, Sibelius and three Musullski, Bach, and Wagner transliterated by Stokowski, respectively, in 2004, The 2005 and 2006 Grammy Awards nominations.
