北京市西城区实验小学是学雷锋特色校。1986年,学校正式成立学雷锋大队,拉开了学雷锋活动序幕。雷锋精神历久弥新,越发凸显时代特色,为孩子们提供了鲜活的公民道德建设样本。2003年,学校启动“乘着‘雷锋号’专列前进,争当合格小公民”系列活动,创造性地开启“雷锋号”专列,让孩子们的学习生活与这小小专列相融相伴,在乘着专列一路前行的过程中,弘扬雷锋精神,争当雷锋传人。
