国际工程地质协会(IAEG)于1979年7月18～22日在波兰举行了一次环境地质科学讨论会,其中心议题是“地质环境在人类活动影响下的变化”。 讨论会由波兰全国工程地质师协会主办,波兰国内的许多全国性科学研究、教学、生产和设计单位均参与了会议的组织工作。来自美国、澳大利亚、匈牙利、东德、冰岛、意大利、保加利亚、苏联、西德、捷克、瑞士等13个国家100多位代表参加了讨论会。国际工程地质协会秘书长P.沃里特尔博士(西德)出席了会议。
The International Engineering Geological Association (IAEG) held an environmental geology science symposium in Poland from July 18 to July 1979, focusing on “the changes of the geological environment under the influence of human activities.” The seminar was organized by the Polish National Association of Engineering Geologists and many national scientific research, teaching, production and design units in Poland participated in the organization of the conference. More than 100 delegates from 13 countries including the United States, Australia, Hungary, East Germany, Iceland, Italy, Bulgaria, the Soviet Union, West Germany, the Czech Republic and Switzerland attended the seminar. Dr. P. Vallitel, Secretary General of the International Society for Engineering Geology (West Germany) attended the meeting.
