1月:牟钟鉴、何其敏赴上海参加由上海社会科学院主办的“民族宗教问题研讨会”。2月下旬及3月上旬:牟钟鉴赴美,在夏威夷、波士顿哈佛大学、纽约、华盛顿、洛杉矶参加“孔子与世界和平”研讨会,论文题目《孔子的文化观及其现代意义》。3月:我系4位教师为公安大学治安系本科三个年级开设“宗教与民族关系”课程。 January: Mou Zhongjian and He Qimin go to Shanghai to attend “Symposium on Ethnic and Religious Issues” sponsored by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. In late February and early March: Mou Zhongjian went to the United States to attend “Confucius and World Peace” symposiums in Hawaii, Boston, Harvard University, New York, Washington, and Los Angeles. His essay entitled “Confucius’s Cultural Outlook and Its Modern Significance”. March: Four teachers in my department set up the “Religion and Ethnic Relations” course for the three grades of undergraduate security and safety department of Public Security University.
