The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (Ethiopia) is a landlocked country located in eastern Africa with an area of 1.1 million square kilometers and the latest population of about 60 million. Addis Ababa, the capital, is an important city in eastern Africa and is now home to the headquarters of the Organization of African Unity and several permanent offices of the United Nations. It is called the “political capital of Africa.” Ethiopia, one of the most economically developed countries in the world, is dominated by backward consumer goods manufacturing and traditional handicrafts. In recent years, Ethiopia has developed some foodstuffs, textile and processing industries and simple automobile assembly industry. However,
