在电视节目制作过程中,从前期拍摄到后期编辑直至播出都要用到录像机,其作为电视制作系统中的瓶颈设备,其性能质量高低对整个系统有着重要的影响。为此,对录像机技术的开发与运用受到人们的关注。从最早1956年出现的模拟磁带录像机,到1989年推出的D-1格式数字分量录像机,以及1992年采用数字压缩技术的数字Beta-cam录像机的出现这一发展过程,标志这录像机及制作设备的主流方向,即数字化,分量化及具全新概念的节目编辑制作功能的完善。
