国务院3月14日批复了山西省《关于申报太原市为国家历史文化名城的请示》,同意将山西省太原市列为国家历史文化名城。批复指出,太原市历史悠久,文化底蕴丰厚,历史遗存丰富,城市建设特色突出。批复明确,山西省及太原市人民政府要根据本批复精神,按照《历史文化名城名镇名村保护条例》的要求,正确处理城市建设与历史文化遗产保护的关系,保护好太原市的传统格局、历史风貌和历史建
On March 14, the State Council approved Shanxi Province’s “Request for Declaration of Taiyuan as a National Historical and Cultural City,” and agreed to include Taiyuan in Shanxi Province as a national historical and cultural city.
