四川省南充市社区就业工作从1998年上半年开始起步,通过4年的努力,现工作运行正常并取得较好成效。目前已形成了纵向到底、横向到边的社区就业工作体系和服务网络;社区就业工作纳入了市政府工作目标管理;社区就业岗位不断得到开发,已达到11个大类、44个项目、218个品种;全市共建有“社区就业服务中心”23个、“社区就业服务站”112个、社区就业实体有1268个、服务网点2319个,社区就业从业人员11070人,其中下岗职工4162人,获得税费减免86万元。但是,仍存在不少问题制约着社区就业工作的进一步开展。
