成人高校档案是反映成人高校教育管理和教学活动的真实记录。它既能客观、真实、具体地反映学校的教学和管理实际,又能在一定程度上折射出学校在专业建设、师资队伍建设、人才培养和教学、科研等方面的发展轨迹与质量,在教育教学评估中发挥着重要的作用。首先它是教育教学评估的基础,是教育教学工作现状的展示是,“昨天”的回顾,也是“昨天”与现状的对比;其次它是教育教学评估的依据;同时,教育教学评估对学校档案管理工作具有推动作用:是对档案工作的检查,能够引起领导的高度重视,能够增强教职工的档案意识,能够推动了档案工作的规范化,发现档案工作中存在的问题。
