奔驰中国近日确认,现任奔驰中国总裁兼首席执行官麦尔斯将于今年12月卸任,返回德国总部。麦尔斯已经执掌奔驰中国长达6年之久,此番离任引致业界猜疑,他是否在为奔驰在华市场开拓不力埋单?这两年来,奔驰汽车在华频频遭遇车主的投诉,不管是国产的奔驰还是进口的奔驰都故障频发。仅在9月份,奔驰汽车就遭到10起用户投诉。随着中国经济的发展,中国市场对豪华车品牌的重要性日益凸显,奔驰在华表现不力很快影响到其在全球市场的销量排名。去年奔驰在全球的销量已经落后于奥迪宝马,今年1至7月它与奥迪宝马的销量差距进一步拉大。
