拜耳作物科学已在巴西市场推出第3代转基因棉花种子品种FiberMax,用于2014/2015作物季。FiberMax依托GlyTol-LibertyLink-TwinLink(GLT)技术,具有3种性状,是防控杂草和螟虫的广谱产品。GlyTol技术使棉花作物对草甘膦除草剂产生耐药性,扩大草甘膦的施用范围,使除草剂施用更加灵活,并能减少施用量。LibertyLink技术赋予棉花作物对草铵膦(巴西以Liberty品牌销售)除草剂的耐药性,这样农民就可以施用草铵膦防控更多种类的杂草,利用非选择性化学组分对付杂草抗性。TwinLink技术可以表达2种Bt.基因(Cry1Ab和Cry2Ae)防控鳞翅目螟虫、棉叶虫、烟草夜蛾幼虫、草地贪夜蛾、棉红铃虫和尺蠖。
Bayer CropScience has launched the third generation of transgenic cotton seed variety FiberMax in the Brazilian market for the 2014/15 crop season. Based on GlyTol-LibertyLink-TwinLink (GLT) technology, FiberMax is a broad spectrum of products that control weeds and stem borers with 3 traits. GlyTol technology makes cotton crop resistant to glyphosate herbicides, broadening the application range of glyphosate, making herbicide applications more agile and reducing application rates. LibertyLink® technology gives cotton crops the herbicide resistance to glufosinate (sold under the brand Liberty in Brazil) so that farmers can apply glufosinate against a wider variety of weeds, using non-selective chemical components to combat Weed resistance. TwinLink® technology can express two Bt. Genes (Cry1Ab and Cry2Ae) for controlling Lepidoptera, Cotton Leafworm, Tobacco Leafworm larvae, Spodoptera frugiperda, Cotton bollworm and Squall.
