田浩(Hoyt C.Tillman)教授主要研究中国宋代儒学史、思想史,代表性著作有《朱熹的思维世界》、《功利主义儒家:陈亮对朱熹的挑战》等。田浩教授一向主张从历史的角度来理解特定时期的儒学思想,与余英时等学者一起,代表了当今北美儒学研究格局中的一个重要阵营。本刊刊发葛焕礼副教授对田浩教授的访谈,由其求学、治学经历,表述出一些著名中国学学者的信息和他对美国儒学研究状况及儒学发展问题的认识。其观点纷纭,可尽飨读者。
Professor Hoyt C. Tillman mainly studies Confucianism history and intellectual history in the Song Dynasty in China. His representative works include Zhu Xi’s Thinking World, Utilitarian Confucianism: Challenges of Zhu Liang to Zhu Xi and so on. Professor Tian Hao has always advocated understanding the Confucianism thought of a specific period from a historical perspective. Together with Yu Yingshi and other scholars, it represents an important camp in North American Confucianism. The publication of Professor Ge Huanli’s interview with Prof. Tian Hao from his interviews with Prof. Tian Hao shows the information of some famous Chinese scholars and his understanding of the state of Confucianism in the United States and the development of Confucianism. Different views, do everything possible to readers.
