李竞雄先生1913年生于江苏省苏州市。1936年毕业于浙江大学农学院。1948年底获美国康乃尔大学博士学位。1948年底北平解放前夕应聘到清华大学农学院任教并担任农学系主任。院系调整后在北京农业大学担任教授,先后任栽培教研组和遗传教研组主任。现任中国农业科学院作物育种栽培研究所研究员。1981年当选为中国科学院生物学部委员,同年光荣加入中国共产党。他曾是三届人大代表,两次被农牧渔业部聘为科学技术委员会委员。现在是中国作物学会理事长和中国遗传学会理事。担任
Mr. Li Jingxiong was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province in 1913. 1936 graduated from Zhejiang University College of Agriculture. By the end of 1948 by the United States Cornell University doctorate. At the end of 1948, on the eve of the liberation of Peking, he applied to Tsinghua University College of Agriculture for teaching and served as director of agronomy. Adjusted faculties in Beijing Agricultural University as a professor, has served as cultivation and teaching research group and director of genetic teaching and research group. The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Crop Breeding and Cultivation Institute researcher. In 1981 he was elected a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the same year honorably joined the Chinese Communist Party. He was a deputies to the Third National People’s Congress and was hired twice by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery as a member of the Science and Technology Commission.
