由于中小学生的人生观、价值观以及世界观尚未形成,因此中小学生在思想、智力以及品格等方面具有较强的可塑造性,而中小学教育作为整个教育体系中最为基本的教育环节,德育工作在中小学教育中占有重要位置。随着近年来人类理性缺失,出现精神危机的环境下,诺丁斯所提倡的幸福教育观在中小学德育工作中具有重大的意义。幸福教育观将关怀伦理学作为其理论基础,从“幸福”的角度来探讨教育目的、幸福来源以及幸福教育论等,目前幸福教育观成为中小学进行德育工作的方向及方法
