汉字电视图文广播系统我国电视观众即将在电视屏幕上观看到电视图文广播节目。由于汉字的数量巨大,以往一直很难做到这一点。在荷兰菲利普公司半导体设计中心为该公司工作的英国工程师提出了一个可显示全部汉字和西文而电视机成本又不会增加太多的系统。该系统在北京亚运会期间进行了试验。菲利普公司在公共场所安装了150台原型接收机。这些试验取得了成功,目前广播电影电视部建议采用该系统作为电视图文广播的标准。现在有5000万台图文电视接收机在40多个国家使用。所使用的系统均是英国20年前开发的,现在被称为世界制式电视图文广播。电视图文广播站是把一连串的数码连同电视信号一并发射出去。这些数码实际上并不运载要显示在屏幕上的字母的画面信号。代表每个字符的数码
Chinese TV Telecasting System Chinese television viewers will soon watch TV teletext on television screens. Due to the huge number of Chinese characters, it has been very hard to do this in the past. A British engineer working for the company at the Philips Design Center in the Netherlands presented a system that showed all Chinese and Western languages without a substantial increase in TV costs. The system was tested during the Beijing Asian Games. Phillips installed 150 prototype receivers in public places. These tests have been successful and at present the Radio Film and Television Department proposes to adopt the system as a standard for teletext. There are now 50 million teletext receivers in more than 40 countries. The systems used were developed by the United Kingdom 20 years ago and are now known as world-wide teletext. Television and telegraph stations broadcast a series of digital signals together with television signals. These numbers do not actually carry the picture signal of the letters to be displayed on the screen. The number that represents each character
