Mainland China’s Ant Financial Services Group announced in Taipei on December 9 that its Alipay, in cooperation with Taiwanese businesses and banks, will expand the consumption opportunities for mainland tourists to come to Taiwan by introducing scanning and payment services in more than 3,500 stores. Founded in 2014, Ant Financial Services Group has become the largest online payment service provider in mainland China. Alipay has started to expand overseas services for mainland tourists from the end of 2014. As of November 2015, Alipay has more than 50,000 overseas businesses and 400 million Alipay
