The Fourth Session of the Eleventh National People’s Congress Standing Committee held a plenary meeting in the Great Hall of the People on August 27 and listened to the State Council’s report on the implementation of the plan for national economic and social development since the beginning of this year. The report proposes that in the second half of the year, the economy should maintain steady and rapid economic growth. The report consists of three parts. The first part reviews the economic operation since the beginning of this year and believes that various regions and departments effectively deal with the impact of various major challenges and maintained a steady and rapid economic and social development.
