球茎茴香为伞形科多年生草本植物。1997年经卢龙县蔬菜站作为特菜品种引进推广,在目光温室内进行冬茬栽培,效益显著,近几年发展迅速。球茎茴香主要食用部位为球茎,可炒食、凉拌、茎叶还可做馅、烧汤,很受城乡居民欢迎,具有很好的发展前景。
