任何一所学校都应当有一种文化作为其支撑和根基,学校文化对外是一面旗帜,对内就是一种向心力。没有文化底蕴的学校是空洞的也是虚妄的,因为,身处其中的人得不到厚重文化的熏染,本身就是一种欺骗和浪费,是一种对人性的不负责任。道德领导力是学校管理者,尤其是校长,凭借自身的道德人格魅力,而凝聚学校师生员工向往与认同力量的重要力量,是校长非权力领导力的核心组成部分。只有靠道德的力量才能让管理者与被管理者之间建立基本的信任和默契。尤其在当下领导与被领导之间关系处于较为微妙、信任感流逝、默契度降低的时代背景下,建构这一文化精神,就变得愈发迫切了。因此,培育学校的道德领导文化,应当引起广大中小学校长的高度关注和重视。
