1946年4月8日,本应是个欢庆的日子。这天,延安各界群众上万人,聚集在机场翘首等待着从重庆飞来的美军驻延安观察组C—47型运输机。这架飞机载着中国革命史上的重量级人物:参加国共和谈的中共代表王若飞、秦邦宪,出狱不久的叶挺将军偕其夫人子女,出席世界职工代表大会归来的中共职工委员会书记邓发,王若飞的舅父、进步教育家黄齐生及其孙子。此外,还有随行人员18集团军参谋李少华、副官魏万吉、赵登俊共13人。
April 8, 1946, this should be a happy day. On this day, tens of thousands of people from all walks of life in Yan’an gathered at the airport waiting for the C-47 transport aircraft of the U.S. Yan’an Observation Team flying from Chongqing. The plane carries heavyweights in the history of the Chinese revolution: representatives of the CPC, Wang Ruofei, Qin Bangxian, and generals Ye Ting, who were released from prison soon, and their children, members of the Communist Party Committee Workers’ Committee Deng Fa and Wang Ruofei who attended the World Workers Congress Uncle, progress educator Huang Qisheng and his grandson. In addition, there were accompanying officers of the Army Army Group, Li Shaohua, adjutant Wei Wanji and Zhao Denjun, a total of 13 people.
