The discovery of leptin, which is based on the study of obesity genes, initially focused its attention on its role in reducing animal feeding and reducing fat deposition in the body. However, a series of researches on it have gone far beyond this single field in recent years. Leptin has been gradually found to regulate the physiological activities of many important organs and organs such as liver and kidney, the overall level of glycolipid metabolism and even body growth and development . Although there are still many mechanisms to be clarified, all kinds of research results continue. This article summarizes some of the more important findings about the basic role of leptin in regulating fat metabolism and its regulatory role in the bones, nerves, digestive, cardiovascular and endocrine systems and its mechanism.
