济南事件是对中国外交政策的一次严重冲击,是中日外交关系上的重要转折点,对这一事件,史学界从不同的角度已进行过大量深入细致的研究,其研究成果已相当丰硕。但笔者注意到:过去研究济南事件时,著论者很少重视国内舆论界内发生的变化。报纸是舆论界最重要的载体,其言论反映了社会现实,并代表着一定的阶级倾向,在社会上有着广泛的影响力。因此,从报纸对济南事件的反应来探讨当时世人的认知就显得很有意义。笔者不揣浅陋,以《申报》作为对象,发现并提出一些新的问题,从而加深对于济南事件的理解和认识,以图揭示世人认知突发外交事件的心态历程。
The Jinan incident was a serious attack on China’s foreign policy and an important turning point in the diplomatic relations between China and Japan. To this incident, historians and scholars have done a great deal of intensive and detailed research from different angles and the results of their research have been quite substantial. However, I have noticed that in the past when studying the Jinan incident, the writers paid little attention to the changes that have taken place in the domestic media. Newspapers are the most important carriers of media. Their remarks reflect social reality and represent certain class tendencies. They have a wide range of influence in the society. Therefore, it is very meaningful to explore the world’s cognition from the newspaper reaction to the Jinan incident. The author does not clumsyly take the “declaration” as an object, find and put forward some new questions, so as to deepen the understanding and understanding of the Jinan incident so as to reveal the mentality of the world’s cognitive sudden diplomatic events.
