在市场经济条件下,各类商品都讲究包装宣传,广告推销,文艺作品要不要?粤剧粤曲要不要?对于这个问题,回答应该是肯定的。然而,就实际的情况而言,人们在看法上并不一致,做起来也有许多问题。在今年4月23日,由广东省文联、广东省作协和《羊城晚报》报业集团联合召开的“繁荣广东文艺创作座谈会”上,被邀出席这一会议的笔者和著名平喉粤曲唱家梁玉嵘在发言中,都着重谈到了这个问题,提出了自己的意见。后来,《羊城晚报》于4月28日发表了我们的发言摘要,还配上了照片,引起了好些同行和朋友的关注,他们纷纷议论起来,有的提法还颇为尖锐,笔者相信介绍出来,将有助于粤剧粤曲的普及和发展。不少人都认为,这些年来,粤剧粤曲界好些同行对包装宣传的重要性有较为明确的认识,都曾作过努力,有时甚至还掀起过排浪式的宣传攻势,对一些新创作的剧(曲)目和演出晚会也注意通过多种手段(包括各个综合艺术部门的密切配合和高科技制作的舞台灯光布景等的运用)进行包装,通过多种途径进行宣传(有的演出特刊编印得甚为精细别致)。有人也提到近年出版的各款卡带、影碟,设计都已讲究精美,比如精选100出粤剧剧目汇集而成的《粤剧大典》VCD光碟就装潢华丽,整套还以金盒成箱,闪光耀彩,受到热烈的欢迎。
