电子探测器的二维阵列是一种具有吸引力的器件,它可把图像转变为便于此后计算机进行编辑和分析的数字数据。与传统的摄影技术相比较,电子成像技术可以直接产生一个数字图像文件而不必采用额外的扫描过程,避免费时、杂乱化学药品处理。但不足之处是一个普通的电荷耦合器件(CCD)阵列的空间分辨率明显低于传统摄影胶片的分辨率,而且大规格阵列的价格高。
The two-dimensional array of electron detectors is an appealing device that turns images into digital data that later computers can edit and analyze. Compared with the traditional photographic technology, electronic imaging technology can directly produce a digital image file without having to use additional scanning process, to avoid time-consuming and messy chemical handling. However, the downside is that the spatial resolution of a common CCD array is significantly lower than the resolution of conventional photographic film, and the price of a large format array is high.
