词汇是语言学习的基石。对于高中生来说,词汇量是英语能力的体现,甚至说单词量的大小和英语成绩的高低成正比一点也不为过。因此,词汇量的积累也就显得尤为重要。然而,多年以来,词汇教学在高中英语教学中未受到应有的重视。词汇的掌握多靠学生自己的死记硬背,无行之有效的方法,致使学生对背单词感到苦不堪言,往往下了很大功夫,还是收效甚微。这种枯燥乏味的、低效率的词汇记忆挫伤了不少学生学习英语的信心和决心,以至于放弃英语学习。 Vocabulary is the cornerstone of language learning.
