山东太阳纸业股份有限公司与华南理工大陈克复院士及其创新团队申请成立了首批山东省院士工作站,依托太阳纸业科技研发条件已开展产学研合作多年,共同完成了多项科研项目。其中产学研合作开发的“高得率化机浆生产过程中的减排降耗技术”获2011年度国家科技进步二等奖。公司与大学合作,以一种全新思路和方法,自主研发出化机浆生产过程减排降耗技术,在所设计的化机浆废水封闭循环零排放的新流程中实现生产废水的资源化与减量化,并把最终废水浓度提升到满足碱回收蒸发系统对废水浓度的要求后,与化学浆黑液合并,进行碱回收处理。
