As China joins the World Trade Organization, the steel industry, like other industries, faces even more intense competition and harsh challenges. China is a big steel producer, but by no means a strong steel producer. The large proportion of Chinese steel companies’ crude steel, high cost and low labor productivity all make us at a disadvantage in the competition. From the perspective of the world, the steel market as a whole is oversupply.
