This paper reports the determination of aspirin and salicylic acid in compound analgesic preparations by liquid chromatography with giant pore poly-resin as column packing. The glass column is filled with polymethylmethacrylate less than 325 mesh. The preparatory column length is 5 × 0.28 cm; the analytical column length is 15 × 0.28 cm. The photometric detector is available with a 280 nm UV absorbance detector or with a variable wavelength UV-visible detector. The mobile phase is ①25% B
