北京林业大学是中国林业教育的最高学府,是我国唯一的全国重点林业大学,直属于国家教育部。1995年被列为“211工程”建设院校,2000年被列为国家教育部“21世纪教育振兴计划”院校之一。自1956年开办函授教育以来,为国家、社会培养了大批人才,他们当中大多已成为林业、园林、水保、森林工程等系统的骨干力量,取得了良好的社会效益。为进一步适应市场经济的需要。经国家教育部批准,2015年将继续在山西省招收函授学员。
Beijing Forestry University is the highest institution of education in forestry in China and is the only key forestry university in China directly under the Ministry of Education.
