答:无头轧制是连续轧钢的一种新方法。它的轨制过程是这样的:钢还在送入连续式轧机第一机架前,用焊接机通过电流把前一根钢坯的尾端同后一根钢坯的端部加热至熔化状态,并给以适当的压力使之焊合。在连轧机中由于把钢坯焊接起来,因而轧制是不间断地进行的,对于轧型钢来说,可以一直轧到孔型磨损不能再用为止。轧出的钢材按要求剪成定尺或卷成盘。用这种方法可以轧制各种型材。它和现有的连轧法相比有下列优点:(一)间隙时间减少了;(二)切头、切尾量减少,成品率提高;(三)轧件首尾温度可以控制一致,使轧制条件稳定,为缩减公差和负公差轧制创造了有利的条件;(四)二级品和废品率减少;(五)有利于轧制过程目动化。总之,无头轧制可使钢材产量增
