从清末到抗日战争爆发前后,日本一直觊觎郑州,不断有日资集拢而来,日本的特务组织也经常流窜郑州秘密调查,在日本人的眼里,郑州成为中国的芝加哥,只是时间早晚问题。20世纪90年代的初期和中期,把郑州建设成为芝加哥或国际商贸城,一直是地方发展意识中一个重要的目标。追其源流,日本人因其较为广阔的国际视野,早在1920年即认为郑州可以成为中国的芝加哥。日本势力染指中原,亦可追溯于此。
From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Japan had been rushing to Zhengzhou and there was a constant influx of Japanese capital. Japan’s spies also routinely conducted secret investigation in Zhengzhou. From a Japanese perspective, Zhengzhou became China’s Chicago only a matter of time . In the early and middle 1990s, building Zhengzhou into a Chicago or International Trade City has always been an important goal in local development awareness. Tracing its origins, the Japanese because of their broader international perspective, as early as 1920 that Zhengzhou can become China’s Chicago. The Japanese influence refers to Central Plains and can also be traced back to this.
