倍受世人尊敬的化学家、多民族大学(University of the Nations)奠基人之一,霍华德V.马姆斯达特(Howard V Malmstadt)教授于今年7月7日在该校Kona校园逝世,享年81岁。在7月10日催人泪下的追悼会上,他的几百位朋友、同事和学生对这位良师益友的过世表示了深切的敬意,多国国旗降半旗致哀。
A world renowned chemist and one of the founders of the University of the Nations, Professor Howard V Malmstadt died on July 7 this year at Kona Campus 81 years old. At the memorial service on tear-up on 10 July, hundreds of his friends, colleagues and students expressed their deep respect for the passing of this mentor and friend.
