四体演进规律是衡量社会发展或历史演变的。无论是维柯、弗莱、卡尔·曼海姆还是中国传统文学,都在各自的论述中都按照历时性的规律对四体演进进行阐释和解释。然而笔者在回顾了人类商品交换发展阶段、“霸权”的动态更迭和人类传播历史的发展后认为,在看待四体演进规律的时候,不仅仅要采用历时的角度,更需要结合共时的角度,才能完整呈现事物本身的状态。这种共时性,是历时形成的,是动态演变的,也就是说,四体演进也是一种共时性理论。
The law of four-body evolution is a measure of social development or historical evolution. Both Vico, Frye, Karl Mannheim and Chinese traditional literature all interpret and explain the evolution of the four bodies according to the diachronic law in their respective discourses. However, after reviewing the development stage of the exchange of human commodities, the dynamic change of “hegemony” and the development of human communication history, I think that when we look at the evolution of the four-body system, we should not only adopt the diachronic perspective, but also need to combine the synchronic Point of view, in order to fully present the state of things themselves. This synchronicity is formed over time and evolves dynamically. That is to say, the evolution of the four bodies is also a synchronic theory.
