根据我国经济发展总的战略目标和战略方针,我国地质矿产工作的发展应实行“双向发展”战略,达到三个战略目标:第一,为振兴中华、实现四化完成“三步走”战略目标任务,准备矿产资源和地质资料;第二,将地质矿产勘查活动完全纳入社会主义法制轨道和社会主义市场经济轨道;第三,增加地质矿产勘查工作后劲,使之能与国民经济长期持续、稳定、协调发展相适应。
