富源县位于云南省曲靖市东部,乌蒙山支脉自北向南纵贯全境,南北长约103千米,东西宽约54千米,两头宽、中间窄,呈薯形相衔狭长地形。境内最高海拔为西北部的营盘山,海拔2748.9米,最低海拔为东南部的特土峡谷,海拔1110米。东邻贵州盘县、西接麒麟区,南抵罗平县、贵州兴义市,北连宣威市。东至贵阳413公里,西距昆明197.5公里,南至广西南宁580公里,铁路2208线横穿县境北部,与威红铁路和水柏铁路连成一体,加上南昆铁路构成富源县北东南三面环铁的铁路运输体系
Fuyuan County is located in the eastern part of Qujing City, Yunnan Province. The branch of Wumeng Mountain runs through the whole territory from north to south. It stretches 103 kilometers from north to south and 54 kilometers wide from east to west. It is wide in both ends and narrow in the middle. The highest elevation in the northwest of the Camp Hill, 2748.9 meters above sea level, the lowest elevation of the southeastern Terracotta Valley, 1110 meters above sea level.
