杨玉福(又名陈妹(?))一九一○年一月出生于福安县上白石山头仔村的一个贫苦农民家庭。年少丧父,杨玉福帮助母亲承担起了生活的重担,靠打短工、搅零活,换一些口粮补助家里;有时也替有钱人家挑担子,跑运输挣几个脚钱。一九三二年杨玉福秘密参加了闽东工农游击队。一九三四年来到闽西中央革命根据地,参加了二万五千里长征,并在长征途中光荣地加入了中国共产党。
Yang Yufu (aka Chen Mei (?)) Was born in January 1910 in a poor peasant family in Touzai Village, Shangbaishishan, Fu’an County. Young mums, Yang Yufu to help her mother take the burden of life by short-hinging, stirring zero living, for some rations subsidies at home; sometimes for the rich people to pick the burden, running transport earn a few feet of money. In 1932 Yang Yufu secretly participated in the guerrillas of Fujian province workers and peasants. In 1934, he came to the revolutionary base area of western Fujian to participate in the Long March of 25,000 miles and joined the Chinese Communist Party with honor during his journey to the Long March.
