社会转型期,舆论监督越来越为新闻媒介所运用。新闻媒介被视为社会公器,因为新闻媒介对涉及国家利益、公共利益的事件依法拥有知情权、采访权、发表权、批评权和监督权,舆论监督因此成为媒介的功能之一。舆论监督的实质是通过准确报道事实,揭露权力滥用、公权私用和官场腐败等社会丑恶现象,承载着公众的巨大利益和高度期待,也因此成为新闻工作者义不容辞的社会责任。
In the period of social transformation, public opinion supervision is increasingly being applied to the news media. News media is regarded as a social device because the media has the right to information, interview, publication, criticism and supervision in accordance with the law concerning events involving national interests and public interests. As a result, media supervision has become one of the functions of the media. The essence of public opinion supervision is to cover the social ugly phenomena such as abuse of power, private ownership of public power and corruption of officialdom by accurately reporting facts, bearing the great interest and high expectation of the public and therefore becoming an unshirkable social responsibility of journalists.
