喜马拉雅运动使中国西部构造面貌发生了深刻地改变,它给准噶尔盆地无论是沉积地层的发育,还是构造变形打下了深深的烙印。至此盆地由侏罗纪—白垩纪沉积格局,形成南深北浅,西深东浅的不对称类前陆盆地。强烈的构造变动一方面是早期形成的油气藏发生调整,另一方面也促使侏罗系以上烃源岩快速生排烃,不仅在超压段形成高压油气藏,而且一部分油气向上聚集。晚期构造决定准噶尔盆地南缘具有晚期成藏的特点。
The Himalayan movement has profoundly changed the structure of the western China. It has deeply impacted the development of sedimentary strata and structural deformation in the Junggar Basin. Since then, the basin has been characterized by the Jurassic-Cretaceous sedimentary pattern, forming an asymmetric foreland basin with a deep south-north-shallow depth and a shallow-east-west depth. On the one hand, the strong tectonic changes resulted from the adjustment of early-formed reservoirs. On the other hand, it accelerated the rapid hydrocarbon generation and expulsion of hydrocarbon source rocks above the Jurassic. It not only formed high-pressure reservoirs in the overpressure zone, but also partially gathered upwards. Late tectonism determined the characteristics of late accumulation of southern margin of Junggar Basin.
