I. INTRODUCTION The Magnetoresistive Method (MMR method) is a method based on field weakening (about 100 milliseconds) based on the measurement of a low-frequency magnetic field associated with a subsurface flow-free current flow. The magnetic field component is measured by one or more similar ground electrodes. In 1976, Edward and Howell described the field experiments of the method, including the device, the field program, the influence of the current electrode position, the standardization of the observations, and the interpretation of the data. The experiment successfully delineates the contact of a steep fault between bedrock of different resistivity under undulating terrain, indicating the advantages of the MMR method.
