在11月的 Comdex 大展上,众多厂家推出了价格低廉的基于 IP的存储技术,用户纷纷为之侧目。加州的 Entrada Networks 公司在本次拉斯维加斯的大展上推出了两种新产品:称为 Silverllne 的 IP 光纤交换机,该设备提供千兆以太网-光纤的连接;另外一个产品为 SAN Light Optical(光纤存储局域网),该设备使 SAN 跃上了使用密集波束多路复用技术的台阶。Silverline 有两个光纤通道端口,两个 WAN 接口及两个千兆以太网端口。有消息说,目前 Silverline 及 Light Optical 只通过 OEM 方式销售,首批产品将在一月上市。加州的 SAN Valley Systems 公司则对自己的产品做了很大的改进,解决了其 SAN Patrol 的软件互操作性的问题。该软件集成了 HP公司的 OpenView 以增加 SAN、LAN 及城域网的可管理性,难能可贵的是在集成了大量的软件之后,该系统的界面只有一个。展览中
At the Comdex show in November, many manufacturers introduced low-cost IP-based storage technology, the user has one eyebrow. Entrada Networks of California Inc. introduced two new products at this Las Vegas show: Silverlight’s IP Fabric Switch, which provides Gigabit Ethernet-to-fiber connectivity; and the other is a SAN Light Optical (fiber optic storage area network), the device leaps the SAN to a step using dense beam multiplexing. Silverline has two Fiber Channel ports, two WAN ports, and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. It is said that at present, Silverline and Light Optical are only sold by way of OEM and the first products will be listed in January. SAN Valley Systems, Calif., Made significant improvements to its products to address the issue of SAN Patrol’s software interoperability. The software integrates HP’s OpenView to increase the SAN, LAN and MAN manageability. It is commendable that there is only one interface to the system after integrating a large amount of software.
