海绿石是海相沉积中一种分布很广的自生矿物。某些地质文献提到了海绿石中含有许多如:Ca、P、Ba、Li等元素的少量杂质。但是,尚未见到有关海绿石中含铀的资料。我们发现的含铀海绿石产于白垩纪滨海沉积物内。在不同程度富集铀的围岩里,海绿石中铀含量有所增高。其中一个研究地段的围岩由滨海相和浅海相砂岩、粉砂岩及粘土岩组成,它们都含有海绿石,但是,砂和砂岩中海绿石最发育,在粘土岩中海绿石的含量显著减少。海绿石具有肾状、稜角状和片状三种形态。海绿石的颗粒通常大于陆源沉积物的颗粒,其颗粒大小在0.06—0.36毫米范围内。海绿石所有变种的颜色主要从浅绿色到暗绿色,有时甚至是黑色,具有显微集合体消光,多色性从稻草黄
Glauber’s stone is a widely distributed authigenic mineral in marine deposits. Some geological literature mentions the small amount of impurities in glauconite that contain many elements such as Ca, P, Ba, Li and others. However, no information has been received on uranium in glauconite. The uranium-containing chlorite we found was found in the Cretaceous coastal sediments. In different degrees of enrichment of uranium in the surrounding rock, glauconite uranium increased. In one of the study sites, the surrounding rock is composed of marine facies and shallow marine sandstones, siltstones and clay rocks, all of which contain glauconite. However, the most developed glauconite in sand and sandstones is the significant reduction in the content of glauconite in clay rocks . Glauconite has kidney, angular and flaky three forms. The pellets of glauconite are usually larger than those of terrigenous sediments, and their grain size is in the range of 0.06-0.36 mm.
