青少年是人类的未来和希望,是国家荣辱兴衰的标志。因此,世界各国都十分重视对青少年的培养教育。我国青少年的品德、健康、文化水平和科学素养如何,是关系国家前途命运的大事。青少年科技教育的目标是,不仅让他们懂得科学知识,还要帮助他们掌握科学思想,运用科学方法去处理学习、生活、工作中的问题,不断提高自身素质,迅速成长为建设强大祖国、保卫中华圣土的合格接班人;青少年正处于身心快速增长期,需要健康的精神生活和体力锻炼。课外科技活动正是丰富学生精神生活、进行身体锻炼的有效途径,能使学生得到辩证唯物主义、集体主义的教育,陶冶他们爱自然、爱科学、爱祖国、爱劳动的思想情操,树立关心生态环境等的意识,促进学生的全面发展和个性培养。
