谢·尤·维特(1849—1915年)是帝俄晚期著名的国务活动家.他任财长期间(1892—1903年)采取了一系列措施,大力推进俄国资本主义经济的发展,形成了1890—1900年间俄国工业发展的所谓“黄金时期”.维特采取的诸多措施当中,1897年的币制改革是重要的一项.
