上世纪初,著名历史学家顾颉刚在江苏吴县的保圣寺发现了半堂罗汉塑像,具考已经有一千三百多年的历史,是唐代泥塑圣手杨惠之之手,具有极大的考古价值和艺术价值。可以说,这是距今发现的苏州最古老的神佛塑像。今天,在苏州这块人杰地灵的土地上,神佛塑像成为全国泥塑佛像主要流派之一。正值非物质文化遗产保护东吴论坛召开之际,我们有幸拜访了苏州工艺美术界的神佛塑像的传承大师朱文茜先生,希望对泥塑的保护工作做点力所能及的工作。

At a time when Soochow Forum for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage was held, we were fortunate to visit Mr. Zhu Wenqian, the great master of statues of the gods and statues in Suzhou’s arts and crafts circles. We hope to do a great job in the protection of clay sculpture.
