Since many physics units commemorate scientists, it is generally thought that Volt and Volta are the two scientists who commemorate Volt and Volta. In fact, Volt and Volta are one person instead of two. Volta (Alessandro 1745–1827) is an Italian physicist. Volt is a unit of voltage and electromotive force.
